Frequently Asked Questions
What do you shoot with?
Erin uses a Canon 5D Mark II.
How can I pay?
Erin Dietrich Photography accepts cash, checks, and all major credit cards.
Do you sell gift certificates?
Yep! We sure do, and they make the PERFECT gift for anyone! Who wouldn’t love a gift certificate to receive beautiful photos? Perfect for the holidays, baby showers, and special occasions. The gift cards come in a cute little package ready to gift.
When should I book my session?
NOW! The sooner the better since the weekends book up fast. Being a full time mama, Erin can only take on so much so she books up rather quick.
When should I book my maternity session?
Maternity sessions are usually done around 32-35 weeks. By that time the belly is nice and round! However, the time frame is flexible to make sure the mother-to-be is comfortable. So if you want to do it earlier than 32 weeks that is fine too. Please book in advance. The earlier you book your session, the better the chance to get you in when you prefer.
When should we do my baby’s newborn shoot? How do I book it even though I’m still pregnant and not sure when my baby is going to be born?
Contact Erin as soon as you find out you are pregnant! No, seriously. We will book your newborn session around your due date but will leave room for flexibility if your baby comes early or late. Since babies have their own schedule, we work around them. Newborns are photographed best within the first 10 days of their lives. The earlier the better — new babies sleep all the time, are still all wrinkly squishy, curl up nice, and usually don’t have newborn acne yet. Newborn sessions take place in Erin’s natural light studio located in Market Common in Myrtle Beach, SC or in the comfort of your own home.
Do you offer any kind of baby plan?
YES! We have our Beautiful Baby Plan. The first year goes by so fast, so we came up with this plan to capture the whole first year of your baby’s life with a photo shoot every three months. This ensures that you capture each big milestone that happens in the first year. Please contact Erin Dietrich Photography to receive the full details.
Do you offer photography mentoring sessions of any kind?
It’s so exciting to announce that a Camera 101 class is now offered, as well as Skype Mentoring Sessions, which are great for people that are not local. Check the Facebook page and blog for more information about the classes and schedules, or use the contact form on this website.
Do you shoot weddings?
This is a frequent question. Erin has shot some weddings in the past, and will possibly make exceptions for a few “smaller” weddings each year. At this stage in her life and career being a mama to young children, Erin’s heart and soul is just not into being a wedding photographer right now. Her strengths and talent are in capturing childhood, family, couples, and high school senior moments. Contact Erin if you would like to discuss more.
